After our shower and change of clothes, we went for a walk. Our wanderings took us to the beach. According to the tour books, Barcelona has 4.5km of beach front. Barceloneta (the district where we are staying) is said to be one of the busiest since it is closest to the center of town. This picture does not do it justice. The beach area at the end of Passeig Joan de Borbo was packed. A little further down, heading toward the Olympic beach, was not as crowded.
Topless bathing, you ask? Oh yes it is true. That's why we had to take a photo in a less crowded zone. We didn't want to get arrested!
